Dolphin cruise myrtle beach9/19/2023 ![]() ![]() Great trip only thing better would of been if mother nature cooperated also. Kids loved seeing and touching the wild life and eating the fresh caught shrimp. At the end they brought up the net they use to try to attract dolphins and there was quite a bit of marine life which they brought around gor all to see and touch including baby shark, jellyfish, shrimp, several kinds of fish most got thrown back, but they cooked the shrimp on board and passed it around for everyone to tried a couple of shrimp if the wanted. Once out at the site water was little choppy and few in upstairs deck got bit quizzi crew was very attentive and offered them water bottles at no charge to help them feel better. Though mother nature did not cooperate, it was not for lack of trying by the captain Ken whom kept us out a little longer to see if we can get see dolphins, but they were not out there sonce the other boats/companies whom they communicate with radios did not report any. Staff was very helpful and friendly, little green but Jerry and Henry were very customer oriented and interacted with us giving us tid bits of info about area etc. Went late August 2018 with kids both less than 8, grandparents also. People have bad days but every time you take the boat out is constant moving never puts you on fish 3/3 not a single fish caught on board I’ve been all day I’ve been half day and I’ve been shark night fishing by far the worst charter out there highly recommend Carolina princess or hurricane fleet 0/10 would not recommend the voyager crew is great but you will not catch a fish and you will never anchor the captain tells you boats just roll boats just turn so brace yourself when there’s not even any swells or wake constantly running the motor back and forth when people are trying to fish pulling the line into the rotors never before have I seen as many lines in the motor as this past trip then captain just says they gave it their best even though we could’ve swam back to the main beach from the ship no wonder we weren’t catching anything you have to leave shore to catch deep sea fish I mean we’re not paying to go bass fishing we are paying to go out and not see land when we fish we expect to catch or at least see someone catching when we fish three trips total of 3 fish caught out of all three trips and three of the fish was the first trip out two back to back without a single fish caught spend a few extra dollars and go somewhere else not worth it will not be going back on this ship major waste of time and money Should’ve read the reviews captain has absolutely zero idea where he is going. In the case that your cruise is cancelled due to extreme weather, please follow instructions given by the crew and staff.I’ve been on this ship a total of 3 different occasions. Look for the Myrtle Beach Watersports sign. Parking is on the left side of Watson Avenue for Square Grouper Marina. The earlier you check-in, the better seating you receive. It is recommended that passengers check-in at the restaurant 30-45 minutes prior to tour departure. The tour is approximately 1.5 to 2 hours long. In addition, it is recommended that guests bring the following items: Guests must have their boarding pass (received at check-in) to board the boat. Do I need to bring anything on the cruise? It is recommended that passengers bring a light jacket, as well. After parking, look for the Myrtle Beach Watersports sign for check-in and boarding pass. Square Grouper Marina will be on the left side of Watson Avenue. GPS Address: 1568 Watson Avenue, Little River, SC 29566. Also, I dislike being asked for tips when I'm already spending a small fortune on my family vacation. We would have a much, much better time on my boat at the lake. ![]() I was disappointed that the kids did not get a seat by the side of the boat or in front. The captain tried to find some dolphins for us but we only saw them above the water very briefly a few times. It was a pleasant enough ride out to the ocean but I would probably not do it again. My nephews were pretty bored with the whole thing (ages 6, 7 and 11). We were booked for the Sea Thunder but they apparently had a mechanical or other issue and we had to ride on the Sea Screamer, neither of which ever really went very fast. So, we were there 30 minutes ahead of time that meant that we were placed in the last group and we had to sit in the back where the seating is cramped and you cannot see ahead. ![]() While I planned to get to the location an hour ahead of time, plans change with 3 small kids, plus the rotating bridge delayed us getting across on time. ![]()
